Looks like you lost sight of the fact that Constantine essentially started the Byzantine Empire.

I mention all this because I find it fascinating that while the leading men of the early fourth century Roman empire where busy fighting and killing each other, the leading women of the early fourth century Roman empire were busy building churches and restoring holy sites. [very metabolic]
