Turns out the U.S. has more museums than the combined number of Starbucks and McDonalds
...because "Venturi Shops" weirdly reenacts the Ryerss Museum.
Ryerss Museum is the local neighborhood museum where I live, and it is indeed many a 'cabinet of curiousities', a real treasure house.
