Is it true that to know someone privately means to know someone really?
Is it true that to know someone publicly means to know someone virtually?
Could it be that the notion of really knowing another person is actually a pretense, because all that anyone of us is capable of is virtually knowing another person?
On the flip side, perhaps oblivion is always equally common to both the real and the virtual.
