architect.
Eupolemos built, about 420-416 B.C., the temple of Hera at Argos in place of the old building which was destroyed in 423 B.C.


Pæonios of Mende (in Thrace)
sculptor.
According to Pausanias, he was sculptor of the statues of the eastern pediment of the temple of Zeus at Olympia, fragments of which have been found. His statue of Nike (Victory), described by Pausanias, has also been found in place.
