Hans von Strassburg (Hans Gremp)
bell founder.
The great bell of the cathedral of Strasburg (Alsace, Germany) which weighs nine thousand kilogrammes and is only rung on the most important occasions, bears the date July, 1427, and the name Magister Joannes de Argentina; that of Overnai, one of the finest in Alsace, the date 1429, and that of S. Adelphe de Neuwiller the date 1431, and the name Meister Hennin von Strassburg. All doubtless refer to the bell founder, Hans von Strassburg.
