Diptych: architecture and thinking twice
The next step will be to conceptualize what kinds of images will also be in Diptych. Of course, many (if not most) will be cad drawings, and I'm straight off thinking that I want to create all kinds of new "buildings" via collage, mesh surfaces, rotation extrusions, design developments.

cad play -- Quondam Ludi
After my initial setup and play with the "Bilbao Affect" last night, which almost immediately demonstrated promising and playful results...

Bilbao "Affect" 001
Ichnographia Quondam.
project: The Working Title Museum
site: east bank of the Schuylkill River, Quondam

dtm - new work
I (finally) got around to wireframing the mesh surfaces generated earlier this year, and I also deleted virtually all of the earliest surfaces I generated because they were mostly overwrought with grid quadrants and not very modular. I'm utilizing the freeze triangle command (with edge display = 1) to generate the wireframe lines, and the process is very effective and not at all tedious. That is the main reason that I'm going to focus on mesh surfaces over the next few days, because I can now compile a library of many wireframe surfaces. I also streamlined the surface generation process on the old system by using sketch lines instead of spline lines.

Ichnographia Quondam: agenda
Part of the reason for getting a collection of mesh surfaces organized is to then begin further work on the Working Title Museum within IQ.

Frei Otto and Free Otto Architectures
...present pictures of the 1972 Olympics site next to captured images of the rotate extruded forms...
"the free ottopology of Ottopia" ...relates to the dexterity and schizophrenia of rotated surface extrusions, at least my version of the phenomenon and data manifestation...
...the notion of hypersurface versus a new hyperform architecture...

2. mesh surface "sculptures" up and down the Parkway.
3. mesh surfaces "bonded" via "walls", "towers", and "floors", etc., e.g., Hejduk architecture ideas; new typologies.
4. Quondam model collection Interrotta.
5. an orbital Ichnographia Campi Martii?

Quondam Wavelengths -- more on
4. play with and display the latest collection of mesh surfaces.

Hyper Architecturism
Hyper Architecturism is now the document where I can correctly display all my ideas and manifestations of CAD play, especially the mesh surfaces and extruded rotations. Of course, the play will include model manipulation and collage/collision (which will easily be exhibited by simply capturing the play while I do the playing).
The whole book will begin with the (skin) questions: "so what then is architecture...?"

next projects
1. ...feature "computed forms" whereby I utilize and package my DTM and extruded forms and 3d spline lines. "The way we think influences the way we use tools."

QA003: form or play? = Quondam Ludi (former play).
QA003: Form or Play? ...the question whether easily computer generated graphic data is actually a generator of architectural form or just electronic/digital play. Moreover, this theme opens up the whole issue of playing with existing models via scale manipulation and data collision.
I'm already in the process of archiving the DTM and extruded data in the collection, and added to this I will begin archiving all the architecture of schizophrenia + architectures. Right now I really have no set plan as to how this documentation will fit together, so right now all I can think to do is compile all the data for starters.

8. exposition of "epicentral" rotate/extruded surfaces--this adds lots of off-the-wall architecture.

Surfaces within Quondam's collection refers to those data files generated by specific CAD capabilities regarding mesh surfaces, linear extrusions, and rotational extrusions. When utilized in an orthodox manner, CAD's extrusion commands produce an endless variety of recognizable shapes, yet the same CAD commands, when used in an unorthodox manner, not only produce an endless variety of shapes and surfaces, but, moreover, produce shapes and surfaces that for the most part cannot be mentally imagined prior to the computer operations. It is these otherwise unimaginable resultant surfaces, along with the techniques that create them, that are here displayed.
